Objective:

  • Recognize and label their emotional states to increase self-awareness.

  • Apply strategies to manage emotional overwhelm and remain composed in high-pressure situations.

  • Reflect on the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviour using cognitive reframing tools.

  • Demonstrate increased empathy and compassion in conversations with citizens and team members.

  • Identify their emotional triggers and respond to them with greater intentionality.

  • Understand their interpersonal strengths and gaps in building high-trust relationships.

  • Recognize different personality and work styles within their team and adjust their approach accordingly.

  • Use emotional intelligence to influence and motivate diverse individuals and groups.

  • Apply frameworks to manage team dynamics and conflict, more effectively.

  • Align their leadership communication with the psychological needs of their team members.

  • Deliver constructive feedback using models like SBIBI and Feedforward with clarity and empathy.

  • Receive feedback from others with openness and without defensiveness.

  • Create safe spaces for two-way feedback conversations within their teams.

  • Use real-time feedback techniques to support performance and behaviour change.

  • Develop a personal feedback plan aligned with their leadership and EI goals.
